It's my birthday soon, and as a reward for not dying 20 years in a row, I'm getting my grill sprayed to eliminate the faux chrome effect.
Of the two below, which say you Oppo?
All out yellow with the chrome griffin?
Or black with a yellow badge insert?
It's gotta be black n yellow right?

I like the black with yellow badge.

black and yellow imo. It matches the rest of the front bumper.,

Go black but keep the chrome! I think the colored badge is too "boy-racer".

Blaaaaack.

so the grill is chrome now? Try plastidip-ing it black with the chrome logo. Then if you decide you don't like it, peel it off and have it painted to match the body in yellow. Either way looks great

Yeah, it's a sort of shiny plastic fake chrome, not necessarily a bad look but it could be improved. The guy at the bodyshop suggested plastidip so I may go down that route.

I haven't used it personally, but from what I hear it's the safest and easiest way to customize and then go back to the original look when you're sick of it. If you do your homework, you could probably do it yourself and not need a body shop

The place I'm using has a C-class AMG that's been dipped here and there and it does look pretty smart. Definitely need to do some homework, I was apprehensive about putting stickers on my car let alone dipping panels D:

Haha, I was waiting for someone to post this!

It was the only responsible response :)

when I had my Civic, I swapped out the shiny plastic fake chrome grill on it with a body-color matched grill off the Si model. It was a huge improvement! You're going to like how it changes the look

I quite like this one.

I dipped parts of my front bumper.
It is pretty easy.
1. Make sure the area is clean.
2. Tape it off.
3. Paint a light first layer
4. Paint 3-4 more layers.
5. Wait a couple hours for it to dry. Maybe just an hour.
6. While peeling tape, use a blade to cut the vinly so it doesn't peel off also.
7. If you over sprayed, use some orange clean or wd-40 to clear it up.
8. Enjoy.
There are many other things you can do in between these basic steps, and tons of tutorials. If you don't like it, peel it off. Stickers take much more work to remove and can leave behind residue.

Ooh, that looks ace. At the moment I'm leaning more towards getting it black n yellow, as it'll match my newly painted wheel centres quite nicely.

Thanks! When you put it like that, it sounds more practical; I may give it a try.

Tricky little buggers to get off, but they look pretty smart after a few coats!

Let's ask whiz kalifa. He is an expert on colours.
